Our take · based on published features

Is Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) right for you?

Shortlist Blayzer if prescription fit is your priority and you want a rectangular camera-and-audio frame. Choose its Standard or Large size by trying the fit, rather than expecting a display in the lens.

A good fit if…

  • You want prescription everyday glasses with hands-free photos, calls, open-ear audio and spoken Meta AI assistance.
  • You want more fitting options: Blayzer has interchangeable nose pads, overextension hinges and temple tips that an optician can adjust.

Limits to check

  • Blayzer has no in-lens display. It will not show a script, subtitles or a movie screen in front of your eyes.
  • Certain Meta AI features are limited to selected countries and languages. Local glasses availability does not confirm that your intended AI feature is supported.
  • Frame-only Optics orders may include temporary lenses that are not intended for daily wear. Confirm that the order includes permanent lenses or arrange fitting before using them as everyday eyewear.

What your setup needs

  • Pair a supported iPhone or Android phone through the Meta AI app with a Meta account and wireless internet access. Check the exact phone on the current supported-device list; an operating-system version alone is not a compatibility guarantee.
  • Try both frame sizes where possible. Ask an optician to check bridge contact and temple fit, select the nose pads and adjust the temple tips.
  • Confirm your complete prescription and lens design with the seller. For lenses added after purchase, use an EssilorLuxottica certified retailer to preserve the manufacturer warranty.
  • Use the included Optics charging case: Blayzer and Scriber do not fit the regular Ray-Ban Meta charging case. Plan for a USB-C charging cable and power source.

Plan the full cost

Compare the total with permanent lenses, fitting and any progressive or Transitions upgrade, rather than the frame price alone. Prescription ranges and online ordering options vary by retailer and region; confirm your configuration before paying.
