XREAL AURA starts at $1,099, with shipping expected to begin in mid-November. Orders are open in the United States, Canada, South Korea and Japan. For buyers waiting for Android XR in a glasses-shaped device, there is now a price and a delivery window to weigh against the promise of portable app windows and Gemini.

The first decision is location: Germany is outside the four announced launch markets. The U.S. price and shipping window do not establish a German release date or a euro price.

The launch offer runs through December 2026 and applies to standalone AURA purchases; bundles have separate terms. A shipping start is an estimate, not a guaranteed arrival date for every order. Check the local store's current delivery estimate and total before paying.

Already bought the $199 Reservation Pass? That figure in earlier coverage was a reservation payment. XREAL stopped selling the pass on October 28; existing holders can pay their remaining balance under the current launch offer. The complete device starts at $1,099.

What the extra hardware buys you

AURA runs Android XR on a cable-connected compute puck containing the main processor and battery. Its transparent lenses let you see the room directly while app windows appear in your field of view. XREAL lists a 70-degree field of view, up to 120Hz refresh and two fit sizes.

The standard package includes the glasses and puck, cable, case, nose pads and a prescription lens frame. Custom corrective lenses, the keyboard and the controller need separate consideration when budgeting.

The weight needs context: XREAL lists the glasses at 95g and the puck at 265g. You still carry both parts and their cable. The split design moves computing hardware off your face; it does not make the complete system weigh 95g.

Apps, laptop screens and Gemini

Google describes a workspace where you can resize and arrange Android XR app windows, use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, or control the interface with the puck's trackpad. Wired Mirroring adds a laptop display beside those apps through a USB-C connection that supports video output.

Gemini can help with what is visible in the room and on screen. Streaming, Android games and made-for-XR experiences broaden the entertainment options, but individual services may still require subscriptions or have regional limits.

Who should consider ordering now?

AURA is worth shortlisting if you want Android XR apps and a portable multi-window workspace, can buy in a supported launch market, and are comfortable carrying a separate puck. If your main goal is a screen for an existing laptop or handheld, compare the total cost and setup with a dedicated display-glasses system first.

Before ordering, check your interpupillary distance against XREAL's M and L fit ranges, any prescription requirements, the exact return terms and the checkout delivery estimate. These are manufacturer-announced capabilities; we have not yet tested comfort, battery life or app behavior ourselves.
